Lac de Roucarie is the main water supply for the Carmaux region. A man made lake created from the flooding of the surrounding valley area and the building of the 2 barages to control the water levels.

Swimmers, walkers, dog walking and joggers have made Roucarié their favorite site.

Activities available are as below.

7 km walking, biking trail around the lake
Authorized and monitored from early July to end of August 2013 from 11h to 19h in the defined area for swimming
Picnic areas with barbecues
Playground for children
Fitness trail
Water path: 3 panels on topics related to water (fauna, flora, mills, …) are located around the lake.
Nautical activities:
USC Carmaux Sailing: include the hire of Optimist, Laser dinghy db / catamaran, windsurfing, pedal boating, skiing surfing.
